Data, network and computational social scientist, but mainly ultra-cyclist wannabe.

Alessandro Galeazzi

Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, University of Padova

I study how the interactions between people, content and algorithmic systems shape collective outcomes in digital societies. I read society through the digital traces it leaves behind: online debates, news, and cultural products such as music and images.

My approach is computational and quantitative, with a social science perspective. I turn digital traces into datasets and analyse them with network analysis, natural language processing, machine learning and statistical inference, to measure how opinions fragment, how algorithms change what we see, and how culture evolves.

Every node is a paper, coloured by theme. Drag the nodes around, or pick a theme to highlight it.

Node size ∝ citations · hollow nodes are preprints · solid lines join papers of the same theme by shared co-authors · dashed lines join themes
